EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
In the event of an earthquake, fire or disaster, the school is prepared to take
care of the children for up to 72 hours with an emergency supply of food,
water, medical supplies and blankets. Children will remain on campus until
all are accounted for and it is safe to leave. Staff will remain on campus until
all children have departed.
If a disaster does occur during school hours DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL.
The telephone lines will be needed for emergency procedures and no incoming
calls can be taken. In the event of an emergency we have established a
status line which should be called for up-to-the-minute information (888)
589-6570.
Children will be released only at the Armada entrance in accordance with
the information on your emergency cards on file in the school office. Cards
must be kept current.
If a child takes medication daily, the school office is to have an adequate supply
and clear instructions from a doctor. This must be updated each year.
As part of our emergency preparedness program, the faculty and staff have
been trained in CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross program.
Emergency drills are held regularly during the year.
