TECHNOLOGY
Technical Support:
Students will also receive instruction on proper "care and feeding" of their laptop, including general maintenance and best practices. Should a laptop break or have a problem the Helpdesk will provide students a venue to receive both hardware and software support. The school does maintain a limited pool of loaner laptops for students to borrow on a short-term basis. If a laptop is damaged beyond repair the Helpdesk will work with the family to contact the vendor for warranty or replacement work. Repairs are managed by a combination of on-site maintenance and quick turnaround to an authorized service center.
Data Security
The school provides secure data storage on campus. Students are encouraged to use their network drive or Firstclass to back up their data. All important documents (homework, etc) should be stored using these facilities.
Losses / Theft
The school does not assume responsibility for losses of laptops. Students should make use of their lockers and/or the Helpdesk for storing laptops when they are not in use. Students are encouraged to label the exterrior of their laptop to avoid confusion regarding ownership.
