Welcome to Summer @ Chandler. We are delighted to be able to offer another fun and stimulating summer camp and enrichment classes program to our Chandler families, as well as non-Chandler families in Pasadena and surrounding areas.

Our campus will look a little different this year than it has in previous summers, and we’re excited about the reason why. After a few years on the drawing board, we are finally beginning construction of a new middle school for our campus. We have eagerly anticipated this project and can hardly believe it is going to happen at last.

To allow for the demolition of the old Middle School buildings and construction of the new buildings, portable classrooms will be placed on our field to accommodate our middle school classes beginning in April 2010. This will modify the amount of space we will have available for our summer program, since we will not have use of our field, our assembly room (Hill Hall), nor our gymnasium. But, our program will continue to remain top notch and will include myriad creative, educational, and stimulating activities for students entering Kindergarten through grade 8.

Our summer camp will still offer hands-on projects, off-campus swimming afternoons, outside sports and other invigorating activities on the playing fields outside the Rose Bowl, and numerous field trips. And, although you may not see some of your favorite enrichment classes from past summers this year due to our limited space (don’t worry; they’ll be back after construction is completed), we will still have numerous choices from which to select that will include both hands-on and minds-on curriculums.

We will also continue to offer an on-campus lunch program and extended care from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.

Please take a look through this brochure to see what activities you will elect to participate in this summer.

As in past summers, we are offering priority registration to Chandler families and summer participants from last year. Details of this can be found in this brochure.

We are looking forward to having our new Middle School campus, even though it will mean some inconvenience for all of us. But, most of all, we’re looking forward to seeing you back this summer at Chandler.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
