Chandler Goes to the Movies - Family Fair 2016 - was a blockbuster!
On Saturday, April 30 from 2 - 8 p.m., Chandler School's CFA, led by event chairs Melanie Frey, Reny Mathew and Ritu Kumar, hosted Chandler Goes to the Movies - Family Fair 2016. The fairground featured movie-themed game booths run by parent volunteers at each grade level, and a blockbuster assortment of fun family activities including laser tag, quidditch, archery, karaoke, a climbing wall, dunk tank, and so much more. Chandler alumni hosted a gold panning booth, and art teacher Travis Chatham's rock band kept everyone moving. A marketplace, wind tunnel, reptile show and lego building station provided additional entertainment. The Middle School library was converted into a movie theatre complete with popcorn, playing student-produced short films. Chandler parents and grandparents, students, employees and friends enjoyed the food court selections of coffee and smoothies, fluff ice, hot dogs, tacos, pizza, and delicious cupcakes.
