DIRECTORS' MESSAGE
Chandler School, a K-8 coeducational independent school that has been educating children for over fifty years, is again pleased to be able to offer to the greater Pasadena area and surrounding communities Summer @ Chandler, an exciting variety of summer courses and camp activities for children entering Kindergarten through grade eight.
The Summer @ Chandler Camp offers an extensive selection of educational and entertaining activities for children entering Kindergarten through grade six. The curriculum is designed around weekly thematic units, activities, and field trips that allow children to make choices to work alone, in small groups, or in large groups as they engage in active or quiet adult-supervised projects. The Camp offers all-day, half-day, and extended-day options to help meet the needs of all family schedules.
In addition to the Camp, the Summer @ Chandler Enrichment program has been created to enhance the development of the total child for students entering Kindergarten through grade eight. Many of the courses are intended to foster creativity and self-expression by giving students a chance to explore subjects that are of interest to them, yet are often only touched upon during a regular school year. These courses provide students with an opportunity to use their hands along with their minds. Additional classes in core academic subjects provide an opportunity to review and improve basic skills.
The Late Afternoon Hikes round out a busy and fun-filled day by providing students with a refreshing breath of fresh air and a chance to cool off in our nearby foothills.
