HOW TO REGISTER

  • Complete and sign the Registration and Medical Forms found on this website or at the back of the brochure.
  • Provide a $25 non-refundable registration fee and minimum $100 deposit (applied to tuition/fees) for each program in which you are enrolling (Camp/Enrichment). Bring, send or fax completed forms to: Chandler School 1005 Armada Drive Pasadena, CA 91103-2802 626.795.6508 [fax]
  • Make checks payable to Chandler School.
  • Include separate checks for Camp and Enrichment payments.
  • Submit a separate Registration and Medical Form for each child being enrolled; forms may be copied.
  • Allow up to ten business days for registration confirmation to be returned to you in the mail.
  • Be aware that enrollment is open to the public on a firstcome, first-served basis.
  • Understand that enrollment in Summer@Chandler has no bearing on enrollment for the academic year.
DRESS
  • Dress is informal (e.g., shorts, T-shirts, jeans, etc.), but students are expected to be well-groomed and use good taste in their choice of clothing.
  • Health regulations require footwear at all times.
  • The Summer@Chandler T-shirt must be worn on all field trips.

GRADE LEVEL

  • Grade level refers to the grade the student will be entering in the Fall of 2008.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT

  • All students must be at least five years old and entering Kindergarten in the Fall to be eligible for enrollment in the programs.

BEHAVIOUR EXPECTATIONS

  • Children are expected to work cooperatively with summer staff and the other children. Anyone with continued behavior problems will be dismissed.
  • Children are expected to remain on campus until they are picked up by their parent, guardian, or other authorized person. The school assumes no liability for students who leave campus without Chandler supervision.
  • Children who arrive on campus more than 15 minutes prior to their first scheduled activity will be automatically enrolled in the camp drop-in program until that activity begins. Children who remain on campus for more than 15 minutes after their last scheduled activity will be automatically enrolled in the camp drop-in program until they are picked up.
  • The school is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. All personal items and removable clothing such as jackets and sweaters should be labeled with the student’s first and last name.
  • To help keep your child’s personal belongings together, please send a backpack daily with his/her name on it.
  • The children should not bring toys or electronic games to school.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

CHANGES MUST BE INITIATED IN WRITING WITH A Change Request Form, which may be downloaded or picked up from the Chandler Lower School Office or the Camp Office. Please do not call or email the office to make changes.

ABSENCES

  • Written notification of any planned absences needs to be given to the directors of the programs prior to the absence. Should an unplanned absence occur, a call needs to be made to the school office advising that the child(ren) will not be in attendance.
  • There will be no refunds for missed days for Camp or Enrichment.

OPEN HOUSE

Summer@Chander will be hosting an open house on Thursday, April 17 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm. Come by and see our outstanding facilities and preview some of our fun activities.

FINAL DISPLAY AND PRESENTATION

Families are invited to campus on Thursday, July 24, for an end-of-the-summer showcase of Camp and Enrichment summer experiences and projects.

HOLIDAYS

The Summer@Chandler programs will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2008.
