We want your family’s admissions experience with Chandler to feel warm and personalized and provide a variety of ways to discover how our program and community may be a good fit for your child and family. At Chandler, our core priorities include Belongingness, Academic Excellence and Well-Being and we are committed to providing opportunities for an exceptional education to students. At least one parent/guardian for each candidate will be requested to meet with a member of our team for a 30-minute visit as we strive to learn more about your child, family and potential partnership with our community.
  • 6 | Student Visit

    Grades 6-8
Middle School applicants are required to participate in a student visit day hosted by the Director of Enrollment Management, the Middle School Director and members of the Student Council. Weekday appointments are scheduled after the application has been received. This morning program will include attendance at a school assembly, a classroom visit, an in-house assessment and space for personal introductions and peer interactions. Candidates for grades 6-8 are also asked to complete a Google Form. This part of the admissions process is designed as a space for personal reflection and helps us get better acquainted with each child applying to our program. The link is included on the checklist.

    Grades K-5
We will provide an in-person social experience for all candidates for Kindergarten through grade five. Details about scheduling the appointment and expectations for the visit will follow after the applications have been received.
  • 7 | Teacher Evaluation

The completion of this form by the current teacher is an important part of the admission process and a valuable component of the candidate profile. The Teacher Evaluation Form is located on your child's checklist in the candidate profile. NOTE: The request may only be sent to one teacher and once the request has been sent, the link only remains active for two weeks. Additional references in the form of an email sent directly to admissions@chandlerschool.org are welcome but not required.

  • 8 | Transcript of School Records

For candidates applying to grades 2-8, we require school records for the past two years, the current year’s first-semester report card and all available test data. The Transcript of School Records should be requested from your child’s current school directly from the checklist.
  • 9 | Character Skills Snapshot

Character and personal growth are an integral part of a Chandler School education. A reason families seek to enroll their child with us is because of their interest in an environment that focuses on instilling character values as well as exceptional academics, unique life experiences and outstanding opportunities. The Character Skills Snapshot gives us richer holistic information about the student and shows us areas where our community can help the student grow, thrive and shine.

This is an online self-assessment, taken at home in approximately 25 minutes, that measures students’ preferences towards seven character skills. Please click this link for more information on the Snapshot, instructions for registering your child, and step-by-step directions for sending the report to Chandler School.

    For grades 6-8 only.
