Kirk Thorell '88

“I give back to Chandler because I want to give everyone else the same educational experience I’ve benefitted from. Chandler offers an incredible opportunity for students to expand their minds and aspirations.”

Kirk Thorell '88 recollects, “Chandler instilled in us the importance of community. I’d say we didn’t even realize it at the time! But, community involvement is a pattern in my life that started at Chandler.”

Today, Kirk volunteers with the Tournament of Roses, proudly serving in what will be his 16th Rose Parade. He also serves the United Way of Los Angeles, and his alma mater, USC, through the Leventhal School of Accounting.

Kirk’s career as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLPequally fulfills his desire to help others. “I love helping our clients every day, and working to solve their problems.”

Looking back, Kirk appreciates his Chandler teachers for giving him so many interesting challenges. That growth mindset has paved the way for an interesting and rewarding life.
