Dan Rothenberg ’96, President

Dan Rothenberg ‘96, CIMA, is the Managing Director - Financial Advisor, Senior Consulting Group of RBC Wealth Management. Dan advises corporate retirement plans, non-profit endowments and foundations, as well as high net-worth individuals. Dan serves on a number of non-profit boards and draws on his experience to help institutions and individuals overcome the challenges of reaching financial goals through dynamic markets. The investment community continues to recognize Dan for his contributions as a top consultant to the retirement plan, non-profit, endowment and high-net-worth advisory marketplaces. 

Dan is a Chandler lifer. After Chandler, he graduated from Polytechnic School. He then went on to Harvard University, where he earned a BS in Economics. After his time in Cambridge, Dan returned to Pasadena and began his career as an investment advisor. He started with Morgan Stanley in their downtown Los Angeles office, where he worked until 2010. In 2010, Dan and his team moved to UBS Financial Services, Inc. and in 2019, they moved to RBC Wealth Management. 

Dan has been involved on a number of advisory councils for Pasadena and Los Angeles organizations. He serves on several non-profit boards, including The Huntington Board of Governors and helped start The Rothenberg Innovation Initiative (RI2) at Caltech, Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation and One Arroyo Foundation. He also served seven years on Chandler School’s Board of Trustees. He is the current President of Chandler School’s Alumni Council & Association. 

He and his wife, Sarah, live in Pasadena. Their two children, Morgan ‘25 and William ‘28, currently attend Chandler School.  

Dan is the 2023 Chandler School Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.
