Ashley Laird, Faculty Liaison

Ashley Payne Laird has been teaching 7th grade English at Chandler since 1996. Besides teaching at Chandler, she is also a Chandler parent to two boys, Baker ‘23, and Harper ‘25. Her favorite part of the year is hosting her student’s poetry reading. Outside of teaching, Ashley loves to read and is a part of two book clubs. She no longer leads student travel trips during the breaks as she did for 13 years but instead enjoys traveling with her family. Ashley has hung up her soccer cleats and is no longer playing after five knee surgeries but is using her strong voice to coach at Chandler. She inspires young people, allowing them to love reading, writing and thinking.
